my tank is 2 months old it had very few diatoms and after the diatoms I got green algee on my rocks and sand. I know I'm suppose to go thru the ugly cycle but I thought I would get hair algee but that's not the case with my tank. And the algee on the sand turned a brownish colour from green. My question is what can I do to get rid of algee. I already have a cuc. And if this algee is normal? How long does the ugly cycle last?
When can I start adding corals ?
My parameters

Nitrates 0
Phosphates 0

Forgot to add I used dry pukani rock which I cured first and live sand

Looks like diatoms on your sand, the green on the rock looks like the green coralline algae that comes before the purple.

I believe that is the natural process of a tank and a good indication that its heading in the right direction.
