Looks like a bristle worm wondering who the alien looking in the tank is.

Bristle worm?
That’s what I was kind of thinking but wasn’t sure if it was or not or a fire worm. Do you think this guy will bother my corals or anything? Should I try and Get it out? It must of came on a coral or something not sure? I started with dry rock

Haha I’m shocked me must have came in on one of my corals or something. Should I worry and it messing with my corals or anything in the tank. Should I try and get it out next time I see it. Today was the first sight of any hitchhiker since the tank was set up 6 months ago since I started with dry rock

Fireworms are red but I can't see the color well. Bristle worms are harmless but their bristles are painful if they get stuck in your hand or what not.

I hope it’s not a fireworm, and I know it’s hard to see, hope this helps a little more. The head was kind of red but not the body

It is most likely a bristle so I wouldn't worry. You can get an arrow crab to eat them.

High probability of a bristle worm. My system has them and has not bothered any corals. Good CUC member, but the appearance does bother some people, so they remove them based on that alone. ;)

Great members of the CUC, but can overpopulate if you feed heavy. I have a melanaurus wrasse in my 125 that keeps them in check. I never see any in the display, but I've got plenty in the sump. They don't really bother me though.

Sound like someone like me
