alien sea star

That's really cool! Why wouldn't you recommend them? Due to their difficult feeding needs or has it been trouble in your tank?

They don't last long. the red ones especially. there are other colors which can last longer typically, but still not very long. I'm not sure if the different colors represent different species.

Actually i think they live awhile but the food requirements are very difficult. Someone here on R2R tried there hardest with putting live foods on an auto-doser. Went a little longer than a year I think?

They are beautiful but yes they are better kept in the [emoji305] like Mike_J said. And reeferfoxx yes it has everything to do with food. I've heard of 1 person that was able to keep one for 3 years but they are so delicate that with even a spike in nitrates will kill them.

I always thought they were illegal to import. Mainly because of the mortality rate? But according to those ocean and wildlife sites, these guys are abundant with large populations in the ocean.

They are very pretty and love the way the move

Sadly These are much like the mandarins people are gonna get them anyway even if it is just for a while

Yep I would love to see one live, but no one here in Austin sells them. Its a good thing cuz they don't deserve to be taken out of the ocean to die.
