Like I said I don't currently have a cal or mag test only alkHmmm i would check the big three,
Alk, Ca and mag then use 2part dosing to bring your tank back to more common levels. Slowy (cannot stresd that enough) like over the course or 2-3 weeks
Understood more of a small replenishment. Ok so if I were to start with 2 part from some one like brs as an order what would I need ?
It will take a series of changes but if your numbers are accurate, but adding soda ash By BRS as an example will raise it well for you.Just curious how quickly should alk change after a water change? Did a 20% water change this morning and my alk is the same as yesterday.
Like I said I don't currently have a cal or mag test only alk
Yea no i got that but i'd check those before ordering anything else
Are the Hanna cal and mag checkers good for this? I have heard that a few of the Hanna checkers are finicky
Daily water changes ?I would personally water change it back where I want it and then dose to maintain, instead of chasing it all over the place, if it's your first time dosing. If you have a healthy tank you'll never hurt it with a series of water changes
Yeah a Neptune is overkill in my opinion for a 24g lol but I get itHannah is pretty good reagents get expensive fast. I mainly use salifert as my main check and hannah as a back up... but i also have a neptune trident as my front line hahaha
Unless he wants it at 7KH and his salt is only 7KH. If that’s the case all the changes in the world won’t bring it to 7.I would personally water change it back where I want it and then dose to maintain, instead of chasing it all over the place, if it's your first time dosing. If you have a healthy tank you'll never hurt it with a series of water changes
Neomarine claims 7.5
This isn't something I can do with one dosing pump is it ?
The alk yes. If it’s alk, mag, and cal then no.This isn't something I can do with one dosing pump is it ?
Might be a whack batch... but also 7.5dkh is pretty low to me... unless its a FOWLR tank
I typically do small daily water changes cause it's less work, the way I have everything set up, but if you feel like it would be easier for you. match temperature alk and pH you can change as much water as you want.Daily water changes ?
The alk yes. If it’s alk, mag, and cal then no.
I keep mine at 12 just so I don’t have to F with pH swings.

Mainly lps with a montipora and RhodactisI mean maybe??? Depends on what your goals are?? Is your tank full of stony corals? Like LPS or sps? Or just softies. If its just softies you could get away with one dosing pump occasonally topping off alk
Just me but in my opinion that’s asking for way more trouble than dosing 10-15ml of 2 part.I typically do small daily water changes cause it's less work, the way I have everything set up, but if you feel like it would be easier for you. match temperature alk and pH you can change as much water as you want.
