Alk and CA

My CA is 530, 2 different test kits.
My Alk is 13.4 2 different test kits.
Mag is 1370
Salinity is 10.26

Should I be worry about the CA and ALK?

It's high for my tank but others may say it's fine. What salt brand are you using?

I woiiuldn't worry about the CA too much but the ALK seems pretty hugh. I would think you would burn SPS tips at that ALK.

If you don't do anything with the system for a week or so those numbers will come down by themselves.

as far as salt mix using Kent. I'll rest test again after a week and see what happens.. I have mostly softies with some Candy canes. Just two head plops.

Kent generally has extremely high Calcium and Mag. I have the same situation and everything is fine. As mentioned before the ALK does seem a bit high...

If you have LPS or SPS, or a bunch of coralline growing, it will come down byitself fast enough.
But if your really wanting it down, Muriatic Acid brings down ALK. This I've done before when I overdosed.

+1 It will come down if you leave it alone and don't dose. You want to target your calcium around 410 ish and alk. 7-10

The thing is I don't does.. I have a 2 head candy cane and the rest softies.

If you don't dose then it has to be your salt mix. The levels cannot get this high on there own.

Guess I was a real stupid yesterday.. Test it again tonight and my ALK was 8.4. I think was was reading it wrong yesterday. Thanks for the help guys.
