My alk is currently 10.6 dhk as of yesterday. I tested 5 days ago and got 10.7. So roughly i guess my tank is consuming .02dhk per day.(hanna alk). I was confused at first why my dhk wasnt dropping as much but i realised it was because i was replacing the lost dkh and calcium each time i replaced the saltwater i removed for dipping a new frag. Maybe .25 gallons from roughly 30g of water.
I currently dont have much in the tank only a large torch and maybe 4 smalller lps frags and some softies. Should my alk be dropping more with this light of a stocking, less. My salinity is 1.026. Phos .03 nitrate 1ppm, mag 1350 calc 430ppm

also would i be ready for some easier sps want to try some montipora and sort of want my alk to drop more so i can start dosing two part : ) i mixed all my two part up and its just sitting there

As the corals begin to grow more the alk will drop faster. Sps typically use much more than lps and soft corals. Coralline algae can be a big users as well.

Exactly as the Dr. says , the biomass and type of coral , overall size of system ect play a big role in what you need to dose and the testing will tell you when , I think you should just hangout for a while and enjoy your corals growing for a min your doing well with your parameters already, and your alk going much higher would start to get tricky imho with your lovely LPS . I personally would not start dosing anything till I get to 9 dkh so there is alot of headroom in that tank already from how i see it. If anything dose iodide , other color enhancing trace until your biomass affects your dkh/cal/mg
