My tanks demand for alk has slowly been decreasing over the last week+. I’ve gone from 8 dkh to 9.2. In about a week and a half. Calcium and mag seem to be stable at 425 and 1290 respectively. Corals don’t seem bothered and some modest growth is still noticeable. I’m trying to slowly bring the alk back to 8 by lowering the daily dosage of my pumps. Any thoughts on why this could be occurring. Seems odd I would expect a corresponding proportionate cal increase. No? No changes to light or feeding schedule. I’ve added a few corals but that’s about it

Oops lost dosing pump lost its calibration. Mystery solved. Thanks all the same. You guys would have figured it out anyway I’m sure!

It's unlikely you could accurately detect the proportionate calcium increase of less than 10 ppm.
