Having alk issues in my 20g aio. Struggling to maintain it around 8, keeps dropping near 6 over 4 days. I slowly bring it up with brightwell alk 8.2 liquid dose. At 6dkh the corals are not happy, 2 anemones love it. Up until about 7 all inhabitants are ok, anemones ok. One i start brining it up past 7, the anemones HATE even 2ml added. Thry shrink down to the size of a dime. Normally 6” at the base. How should i approach this issue?

Hi,

can you dose daily? 7 for alk is fine, what is the alk of your salt when mixed and how often on water changes?

What test kit are you using?

Stability is key .....
from 6-8.2dkh is a huge swing .

Test the same time daily and calculate your daily consumption .

dose that amount to maintain the same dkh whether it’s 7 , 7.5 or 8 but maintain it at that .

mine seams to maintain stable between 7-7.5
