Alk jump! need help please.

I was adjusting my dosing pump long story short accidentally took alk from 7.3 to 8.0 in a 50 - 60 g system. Just wondering if this is an emergency or not. I have mixed reef and fish. Lots of sps and lps.

Not an emergency. I’d just let it come back down again and get back to your regular regime.

Just wondering how are you measuring your alk and are you measuring it at the same time every day? How are you maintaining your alk and what is the level you are targeting? I agree that I don't think it is an emergency and you could adjust toward your target slowly.
