Alk level for low nutrients

in my reef tank my phosphate are .02 and nirates 5ppm. My mag is 1350. Calcium is 420What can do? I saw other forums but got confused on what I’m supposed to do. Can some explain . New to reef

That’s actually good. I wouldn’t suggest going higher than 8.0 dKh. For those low levels 7.0-8.0 is good.

The thought is with low/just the right amount of nutrients you want lower alk so that growth doesn’t exceed the available nutrients in the water to produced effects like “burnt tips” for things like acropora. If you want to run higher alk numbers, then it’s suggested you have to have higher nutrients to help support it.

Personally, I feel your numbers are good, you might want po4 up slightly just in case, but each tank is very different.

I mostly have lps and 4 sps. Monti’s , birdnest, and others that I dunno.
If the corals get burnt tips. What do you do ?
