is 10 alk ok? everytime i test i get between 10-11 alk im testing with a hanna and i use fritz RPM. my tank is about 2 months old and i have 2 torches, 1 small hammer, a trachy, a small chalice frag, some a acans, blasto and a goni. they all seem ok except for the goni that does not extend at all. i’m just wondering if it’s the high alk that’s bothering it bc i’ve seen a lot of ppl saying that their alk is around 7-9. and should i somehow bring it down if possible? also i was told by my lfs guy to switch salts because he’s not a big fan of what i use

every time i try to test cal and mag i don’t get a reading, using the red sea kits. im using fritz rpm

If kept stable 10 alk should be fine. I use red sea coral pro and using 2-part keep my alk around 11. More important to stay stable than fighting to get it lower if it wants to be higher....having said that though it seems odd that it is reading 10-11 if using fritz blue. Are you dosing anything? What is your calcium at is it on the low side?
