Is it normal for Alk to look cloudy the last few inches in the dosing tube? It's raised about an inch or so above the water line. I'm using BRS Soda Ash with a Jebao DP-4. I did a manual dose in a cup and cleared it but it came right back. Anything to worry about?

No. As I said it is about an inch above the water line and I even ran a few ml through it to clear it and a few mins later it was cloudy again. The rest of the tube to the doser is clear, the the last 2-3 inches inside the tube is cloudy.

A few minutes of running clear liquid alk additive into it and it was cloudy again? You sure you didn't accidentally mix the calcium and alk lines?

Maybe your alk mix is cloudy? You do not keep it stirring 24/7, do you?

If above the water, it should only get deposits in it through evaporation, which will take quite some time.

Positive I didn't mix the lines up. I've got the tubes going from left to right Alk, Ca then Mag. The gallon jugs are set the same way. And the doser heads are the same. I connected only 1 at a time so as not to mess up the dosing regime.

I do not keep it mixing 24/7. I mixed it up enough to dissolve everything a little bit at a time into the 1 gallon jug as not to clump it up. Topped up the rest with just regular ro/di and then shook the jug a bit more then just set it down.

I did notice this morning there is less cloudiness, maybe about half that there was yesterday, an inch or so.

If water even splashes the tube itll make it cloudy. Basically you either had an issue with your kalk solution or got water on the end of the hose. Raise that hose up and you'll probably not have the issue

Issue seems to be gone as of this morning. I'm gonna guess maybe it had a reaction to the new tubing? Maybe it had a slight bit of machine oil from the factory on it even after flushing ro/di through it. Kinda like a new sponge filter pad will cause a skimmer to stop foaming for a few days.
