Alk,Mag,Calc stay the same?

I have 6-7 euphyllia with multiple heads each, a few other LPS and two SPS frags. Over the course of a week my numbers haven’t dropped at all. I’ve tripled checked the test and they come back the same. Is it possible they aren’t using enough to drop the levels? Is there still not enough coral to make a difference in the tank? 40G dt 15G sump total of about 37gallons

Normal. Just give it more time. You need a lot of active growing SPS before you start to see significant uptake if you are doing regular water changes. Coralline algae also uptakes quite a lot, so when you start getting a lot of the purple stuff that is another trigger you might need to start dosing. FWIW, I didn’t need to dose for the entire first year of my reefing career.

It may sound crazy to a new reefer, especially with all the ads and youtube videos claiming their dosing solution is the best thing since sliced bread and you can’t live without it. But in reality most successful tanks were not dosed with any supplements for the first 6-12 months. There is just no need yet.
