Like everything in this hobby, it depends.
On a fish only or fish and softie tank, 11.5 is still within parameters. Heck, there are plenty of salt mixes at mix up at ALK of 8.
For SPS dominant tanks most people like running a lower ALK level like about 8. Even for SPS, there are people who like running at higher ALK levels because they think it enhances growth rates.
You can lower ALK levels by adding muriatic acid. If you think of doing that, lower the ALK level slowly by less than a unit per day. And muriatic acid might have impurities in it.
One reason for lowering ALK is for when you add corals. If your venders run their systems at 8, putting the new corals into ALK 11.5 will stress them but I bet they would survive.
The bottom line is that you are probably fine.
