ALK question?

I have had a sudden drop in my alk lvl no coral just fish and live rock neptune trident auto dosing. The drop is pretty dramatic i am ordering a hanna tester to test against to make sure its correct and have recalibrated trident. Has anyone had a alk dramatic drop like thing and what would cause it if the reading is correct? Thanks

How is calcium? Coralline will crush both.

I dont have coraline yet i had plenty in my previous tank trying to delay the inevitable lol but calcium is in the 460's as of now.
