IMO, the only thing possible within the 12 ppm TDS that could be an ongoing issue is copper. If you did not use this water regularly, I can't see it being what is causing coral issues.
I did 30g water changes with it bi weekly but than I slowed down

It's about a year old. My nitrates are around 3. I'm trying to raise them but at the same time I'm trying to get new water in. So I don't have whatever is in my 12tds of ro water.

How are you attempting to raise the nutrients?

If you are concerned about losing the nutrient levels when you do a water change, I would consider dosing nitrates and phosphates.

Instead of trying to guess the RO water was an issue, I'd either:

1. Get an ICP test and see if there's a heavy metals issue
or
2. Choose to treat with a metal binder and see if it helps (metasorb, cuprisorb, or a polyfilter).

Those ways will deal with other sources of problems as well.

I have 15 fish and I add ab+ and phyto(waiting for a batch). I feed large chucks of mysis.
