Alk rising on its own - No dosing

Is there a calculator anywhere that will tell me if i add X amount of potassium chloride to a 5 gallon bucket of SW it will lower it by this much?
also, if it’s possible that pH can be lower in sand is it advisable to stir the sandbed with water changes? Thanks

Uh, yes. The answer is always "no effect on alk". Potassium chloride does not impact alk at all.

You need to add an acid, such as sodium bisulfate or muriatic acid. No calculator that I know of, but there are threads that show the calculations.

I do not think the pH in the sand is a reason to stir a sand bed.
