Alk stability

What exactly dose a stable alk mean. I try to keep it at 9.5 it will fluctuate form 9.6-9.4 is this stable or do I need to tighten up my swings what is a normal swing for alk on a daily?

Id say if you can keep your alk within a daily range of .5 you should be fine. The smaller the better but unless you have an expensive testing capabilities are human error would be almost that range. Most coral should be fine if it even swings 1 dk slowly over a day but the smaller the better.

Now add time, the longer, the better.
