yesterday i tested my alk it was at 7.6 so i dosed later on in the evening decided to test again and it was 7.8 so i let it be this morning i tested its at 8.0 what could this be test kit i use hanna for alk cal salifert for mag
cal 483
mag 1500
salinity 1.025

It drops a little at lights out. When lights go on, the numbers increase a little

Would that be ph rise ma and decreases when lights are on and then off?

The alk values you are seeing (7.6-8.0 dKH) are all very close together and I would not try to analyze changes that small. They may just be testing error. Look for longer term trends.

pH rises and falls due to photosynthesis using CO2, which obviously is relating to the light cycle and time fo day.

Alkalinity itself is not directly impacted by lights or photosynthesis, but more alkalinity consumption takes place when the lights are on.

Jus tested and alk is at 7.8 I wanna keep it steady at 8.3 how would I I go about it doser or calcium reactor?

I would suggest measure your alk today at a particular time, and then measure it again at the same time in 2 or 3 days and compare. You are going to have some day to day fluctuation to matter how you supplement.
