Alk testing when and how often

I am starting to get heavy into sps and acros and wondering how often should I test alk?

Right now I'm testing every night at 730 pm. Does alk swing like ph? Should I test morning and night?

I would appreciate any input.

i have the trident so testing the default of 4 time a day. yes alk does swing a little bit between the day and night. it tends to drop slightly during the day when corals are photosythensizing. and increase slightly during the night when they are not.
testing once a night at the same time is absolutely fine. stability is key. as long as alk is stable from day to day the coral won't care at all about the day to night change in alk.

I test depending it was every day till I got my dosing dialed in now I test every 3 to 5 days

I run my numbers on everything once a week unless I'm worried about something

Test once per day at the same time of day. Once you dial in dosing, testing 2x a week is usually sufficient.
