My alk yesterday tested at 10.2 (salifert) which seems a little high. This morning one of my montipora didnt look too happy. A lot of its polyps were not extended. Im thinking because of the high alk.. Whats the best way to lower? I do dose esv 2 part as well as mag.

Calcium read at 420ppm and mag at 1400ppm.

Any and all help is appreciated!

If your test is accurate, your alk is within an acceptable range (7 - 11 dKH). You could just stop the alk dosing and let it come down, by itself. Are you adding anything else, like a pH booster?

I am not adding a Ph buffer. I didnt even think to check my Ph. Im just gonna wait it out and see what happens and stop dosin alk can i still dose cal without the alk?

Your numbers are OK, but you could stop the alk dose for a day or two, if you want to get it a little lower, and test to get your daily consumption. The uptake of Ca and alk in a reef tank is a pretty fixed ratio of 50ppm(2.8dKH) to 20 ppm Ca, so since you alk has a lower reserve in your water, and uses more proportionally, it's a good barometer to determine your dosing, since you'll see it change more quickly.
