Less than a week ago I did ALK test with hanna and it was at 180 (10dKH)
2 weeks before and corals it was at 12dKH
I put in 4 small corals when it was at 12dKH. 1 head frogspawn, 2 head Hammer, small favia and small GSP.
I was told that water changes should keep my levels good enough.
I know its not horrible but should I add a Buffer or bigger water changes
Waterbox 220.6

If your tank is new then alk can go crazy for a while, nothing to do with corals.

If it’s a nature tank then that’s a fair amount of alk to be loosing, add in the new corals, you are going to need to dose, water changes are not going to keep up with that alk usage or not reasonable size ones, not to mention the expense of changing all that water (and effort) when dosing will work.
