Alkalinity and Calcium Dip With Raising pH.

After months of trying my pH has finally hit the magical 8.2. Along with with that came an unexpected dip in my alkalinity (I knew it would happen, just not as drastically as it did). Over the course of three days my Ca dropped 10 ppm (not too worried about this) and my Alkalinity dropped 1 dKH (from 8.2 to 7.2). So my question is, is this normal? Too much? Is something else possibly going on that I'm not aware of?

It is normal for demand to rise as pH rises. Exactly how much isn't clear, but yours seems reasonable.
