Alkalinity And Calcium Reactor Help needed.

I guess I'm a bit confused. Without running Co2 though the reactor how can you expect to melt the coral skeletons to release the Cal/Alk you're looking for?

I just plumbed my reactor. I wasn't trying to use it to raise CA or alk yet. I was trying to do water changes to get my numbers in line before I started up the reactor... I just had water going through it.

Ah....gotcha. Yea...its best to try and find a salt that mixes up to your desired numbers (for me its an Alk of 8) and then have your Cal reactor hold it there.
