Alkalinity at 6.7

What can I do to raise my alkalinity? Is there any reason it's that low or is it low during a certain time of the day. I Check my parameters right when my lights turn on in the morning.My calcium is at 440,nitrate and phosphates are 0. My ph is at 8.0 and my salinity is 1.024. I forgot to get my mag checked so hopefully that isn't the problem.I don't have enough coral to use up anything that fast. Thanks in advance for any advice

Some tanks can drop alk 2-3 dkh per day.
6.7 is low should dose baking soda to bring it back up to 7 or more.

It should give you your total dose to get you to your target dkh. I would split it up so it doesn’t swing too much

I put in 100 gallons for my total water volume. And I wanted a level of 8.3. It suggested 18.1 grams to dose

What I do is take an alk reading daily and note it down. After a few days you will see how much on average your tank consumes daily. That's the number you need.
Once you have that number you can plug it into the calculator to see how much amount of chemical you need to compensate that drop in alk. Then that's the amount you will dose on a daily basis. Still checking and testing for alkalinity to make sure consumption hasn't gone up or down.

From 6.7 to 8.3 is a very large jump I would not increase it more than one dkh per day. For starters today I would only dos enough to bring it up from 6.7 to about 7.30 range and break the dose down over several hours

6.7 °KH is as close to the alkalinity of natural seawater (6.5 °KH) as it can get.
