I have just finished a 3 month cycle. It’s been 3 months and just now added fish, pods and chateo.

I cycled with dry rock and dry sand, what would cause alkalinity to decrease other than precipitation. Calcium does not move much and my mag does not either.

7.79 alk
461 calcium
1248 mag
8.06 ph
78 temp
1.026 salinity
ESV salt.

The ratio of alk consumption to calcium is not an level 1:1 so if you see a decrease of 1 dkh, its equivalent to I think 30ppm in calcium, which may not be enough to really see on any test kit expecially when you get into a fraction of dkh...

I would think it's normal consumption as your system starts to mature and balance
