Just a quick question. I have been trying to get my alkalinity up (it's sitting around 8 dkH), but every time I use the booster it leaves this white build up every where. It is a giant pain to clean off the glass. Is this normal? Anything I can do to avoid it? I'm using Red Sea Alkalinity Foundation.

Calcium 310 ppm
Magnesium 1500
Alkallinity 8.4

If those matter. My calcium is a lower than usual.

Right now, I would be concentrating on raising your calcium. Calcium and alkalinity work in concert with one another and now they are out of balance. Higher alk will suppress your calcium levels. Bring them in balance and then send us a photo of what is going on. Pay particular attention to providing photos that show the addition area and the tube terminations. Wide and close-up shots are helpful.

Yeah my calcium levels were around 400 last time I checked them, so I know I need to get them up. I attached some pictures. Not sure what you mean by tube terminations as most of me equipment is HoB. I attached the pictures. It's mostly on glass surfaces, and is a very thin layer but takes quite a bit to get off with a scraper. I read low Magnesium levels can cause calcium build up, but that isn't it.
