Alkalinity Dosing Increase

I currently use Sodium Bicarbonate from BRS for alkalinity.

My alkalinity was running stable auto dosing 26ml twice a day in a 75 gallon total volume system.

Then I added a dozen frags from the TSA VD sale.

My alk has been dropping to where I increased to 30ml twice a day and now I need to up it again.

Is this typical for the amount of coral I have?

How much do others dose?

It varies tank to tank. I put in around 550ml a day. I have more frags and some colonies.

If you need to add just add. I would start dosing more times a day. Divide it up by 3 or 4 times a day. That way you have less alk swings.
I have to up the all weekly unless I put my hand in the tank. It seems to slow down growth. Are you dosing calcium as well?

I dont use BRS alk. Would be to expensive. I Just their calcium.
I use randy holmes baked baking soda formula for alk.

What size tank do you have? 2 &3 to last pics, nice corals. Actually you have a few nice colonies.

I have an 80G display with 30G sump(roughly 82G total), and I dose 234ML of Randy's recipe 2 daily to my tank.

Several small frags, couple larger colonies, and a medium sized clam. Tank is about 5 years old.
