Alkalinity dosing

I have a question my alkalinity dropped from 8.4 DKH to 7.6 DKH with in 4 days because I was trying to up the calcium to 430 so I was dosing more Calcium so my Alkalinity dropped So my question is I used the BRS calculator so I could bring DKH back up to 8.5 calculator says to add 51 ml of soda ash do I add it all at once or do I add the amount to my daily dosing I dose currently 13 ml 8 x a day total 104 ml a day can some one clarify thanks.

I think BRS says no more than 1.4 KH at a time to dose. I tend to try not to do more than 0.5 at a time, and space out the first and second dose if trying to raise it. Just make sure you do not dose it at the same time as calcium.
