Alkalinity dropping

I’m having an issue with alkalinity. My nitrates and nitrites are at almost zero. My phosphates are almost undetectable. Ph is 7.8. I was using Kent nano two part but was advised to stop since my corals are all young. I do weekly water changes. If I wanted to keep my alkalinity at a good level I would have to do water changes every 5 days. Is the gfo I’m using doing this? I’m having a small battle with algae but I’ll stop using if it’s the culprit.

Odd that someone recommended you stop using an alkalinity supplement when what you are asking for is an alkalinity supplement. lol

How much doers alk drop in 5 days, from what to what?
