Gonna sound like a broken record or scratched CD, but again you will be better off and be a bit smarter if quit using the rip off part A and B bottles and use calcium chloride and baking soda instead. Seriously....the plastic bottles that stuff comes in cost more than the ingredients.
You then use an online reef calculator to determine proper levels.
When you say "I added 30ml of part B" mean utterly nothing because there's no FDA regulation on reef ingredients. They can put as much baking soda and purified water in that bottle as they want. Just like salt mixes deviating all over the place.
Alk is consumed at a massive rate in new tanks or those stocked with lots of LPS or softies because it's a prime source of carbon. I'd much rather keep alk stable at 8-9dKH with a 99 cent box of baking soda than an over priced bottle of mostly purified water.
