Alkalinity in FO system

I have a reading about Alkalinity in reef aquariums, but I wanted to ask you experienced fish keepers out-there,
Is Alkalinity a parameter to look out for in a fish only system?

Yes, but it's not AS critical. With a FOWLR stability is more important than perfect numbers.
