Alkalinity in frag tank

Before I switched to rodi I was getting 16dkh alk and corals were not happy with me. A few weeks ago installed 5 stage rodi with zero tds. Using coral life salt at 1.026 and 78f. I put a. New cypastrea in last night beauty of a coral and already today I see some flesh burning off what the heck so I retested alk and it came up with 15! On redsea kit. I’m not sure what it going on here it is a bare bottom tank 10g with some live rock and bio media every coral is out and looking other than that sps and a twin headed hammer. How do I get this down?

What are you using to test Salinity? If refractometer is it calibrated. Take a sample to your LFS and have them test it for you.

Test some fresh made saltwater to see where it's at.

I would do multiple 5g water changes over the next couple of days

I have done many water changes in last week as I installed rodi and wanted to get the good water in the tanks. You think I’m salinity reading is false and I’m higher than my reading? But still any other way to lower the dkh?

If your Salinity is off your never going to get a correct reading.

What's the dkh of the freshly mixed saltwater? If the dkh of the water is on the high side, it's not going to fall very far
