I’ve looked around having a hard time getting an answer. I don’t have rodi right now I’m in the country on a well. My alk is measuring 16 out of the tap!!! Is there anyway to lower alkalinity ? If so what to do? I’m thinking this is why some of my corals are not happy

Are you using water from the tap directly no filtration from a RO unit?

I have a Red Sea test kit if you put 5ml of water in than one drop is 1 dkh right?

Ok so what other chemicals and hard metals are in the well water your using

Do you guys think that this dkh is why some of my zoas aren’t open? But weirdly enough there open in my display tank

I'm not sure about red sea alkalinity test kits but even at 16 dkh I'd imagine that water your using has more than alkalinity issues

A dkh of 16 is extremely high yes what's the dkh of the actual tank?
I'd still be concerned about the other stuff in that water your using

Can someone reccomend me an rodi unit. I’m in. Canada but a lot of places ship to Canada. My tanks are all nano so I don’t need large volumes

Any RODI will do probably 50gpd will be sufficient you might need a booster pump if you're water pressure is low
