Alkalinity issues

I get my my calcium at 425. But I cannot
seem to raise my alkaline past 7 no matter what I do. Magnesium at 1025. Help please

What are you dosing with, how much, how often etc. How often are you doing water changes? Whenever you do a water change it screws up the balance of Ca and Alkalinity. It could be that you aren't dosing enough to match the desired amount.

You can’t raise it because your MG is way low.
MG needs to be in the 1260-1360ppm range fix this.

Use alkalinity Up 8.0 every other day 2 table
Spoons. Water change every 2 weeks
Have 2 gobi’s and 2 shrimp

How much coral do you have? Your mag is an issue.

Do you have coralina algea growing. That can eat a lot of alk.

Bought rock that has coralline algae on it
50 pounds of rock each piece has coralline growing on it tank 6 moths old

How much coral do you have? Your mag is an issue.

6 coral frags. One is bleaching removed to quarantine tank

double-check mag. with another test kit. as said way low, but maybe a bad test or old kit.
