Alkalinity level when not running ULNS

For those running ULNS, it seems that most keep their Alk in the 8dkh range. What’s the ideal range if you are running a 5-10ppm nitrate and 0.03-0.08 phosphate system? Better to bump this up for a mixed reef?

IMO that's not high nutrient, though some might disagree. I run my Alk at around 7.5 with Nitrate/Phosphate around 5/0.05.

Not saying it’s high nutrient but not just above zero. Heard higher Alk helps stimulate Euphyllia growth but not so good for SPS.

I run Nitrates at .5 to 1 ppm and phosphates at .03-.06. I have been running ALK at about 8 and my SPS and LPS both like it. I thought the LPS would be a bit starved at that level but they do fine.

My DKH doesn’t move beyond 0.1dkh in a day, often less than 0.05dkh in a day. Gotta love the trident and DOS combo.
