Hey all,

Just curious on the best soft coral growth alk number? I tested mine today and it came out to be 9.0. I know that’s in the range but is there any better number that would result in better growth or colour? Thank you.

9 is fine. I found the higher the alk the more N and P is needed. I dropped my alk from 9 to 8.6 and am seeing better growth. Feeding is key. I use R.O.E and OysterFeast for the best feeding response.

Feeding results in better coral growth?
Yes
I also see more polyp extension and for a longer amount of time with those 2 products. They due tend to cloud the water for a few hours which gives the corals plenty of time to feed.
