If alkalinity is high how can you get it stabilized. I know it's not crazy it's 13-14 drops. I have been maintaining ph and adding magnesium. This may sound stupid but if its 14 and the water that I get from AC is 8 or 9. Even if I do a 50% water change it will only go down to 11-12. This is the part that may sound stupid is there water that has lower alkalinity that I can add. Also is it suppose to be be between 8-10. Thanks

The only way is water changes. I wouldn't do a 50%. You don't want to change it that quickly. I would maybe do 10% changes daily until you get it down to the desired level.

I wouldn't worry about it... Just let it come down naturally. Don't add any kind of buffer for a while. It should slowly come down on its own.

I changed salts once I started running EcoBAK to bring my ALK down from 12 to 8. Took about 4 water changes of 10% and no dosing for it to come down.

If you're maintaining your pH, by using any kind of a pH booster, you are also adding Alk, so I'd stop using the booster.
