I have a reef tank I started about 6 weeks ago. My alkalinity score is exactly between 8.3 - 8.6. Is this ok or should it be higher for corals?

Please advise.

That’s perfect.

Range of alkalinity is 7 - 11 dKh. I tend to go for the lower end of this range.....7 - 8.

The owner of the fish store near me is recommending 10. What do you think?
It’s a little high. I had mine at 11 for a year and have had better results overall with a little lower alk. I keep mine at 8.6
