Alkalinity Reagent?

I just got the Kh Carer and diluted per instructions 1 part to 8 parts DI. I did a Kh Availability test and not in range. I tried going with 1 part to 7 parts DI and it seems ok now. ANyone else had this issue? I am using coralvue concentrated reagent.

Is there a way to check with salifert or another test kit the reagent mix?
