I keep my alkalinity @ around 10DKH, Calcium 455 and magnesium 1380. Today I stood home from work and im glad I did. My dosing pump went on and dosed alkalinity into my tank and wouldn't stop. I immediately unplugged the pump. Now my alkalinity is at 13 DKHish. My bubblegum digitata immediately felt the change and closed up. Should I do a water change or let it settle down on its own? Never happened to me before so I'm alittle nervous about the spike.

What were you dosing?

I'd most likely just let it drop on its own.

I was dosing Red Sea Alkalinity.

Then super high pH is not a concern and I'd personally just watch and wait. But the time you did something to reduce alk, corals are already adjusting to the higher alk.
