The Sodium Bicarbonate worked as expected. I split the dose to walk the alkalinity up. In addition to my AFR (@7.5ML per 26) I think I should start a constant dose of soda ash, no?

If the pH and alk are low, then that seems a good plan, yes.

Haven't started the soda ash yet ( waiting on it ). But I have increased the AFR dose and the tank has been holding OK since I did dosed sodium bicarbonate a couple days ago.
