I want to test my alkalinity since I just have some new sps corals. I check my parameters with redsea kit for calcium salifert for alk since the preview and Hanna checker for alk also. Problem I have is all 3 have different result in alk. Redsea showing 9dkh salifert is 11 and Hanna 7.1. Now I don't know which one I should follow since I want mine to be at 8dkh. Help me please before I start dosing or water change.

My two cents here...Personally, I think the Hanna checker minimizes errors in user readability, repeatability and interpretation the most. Full disclosure, I just bought the Hanna last week after repeated struggles with the RSR Alk. I could get the RSR to repeat within .5, but I had to very attentive and careful. I used the Hanna and first time it matched with .2 of my RSR using my best technique. Easy peasy.
That said, there are errors that Hanna said can occur - fingerprint or less than pristine vials.
Forgot to mention, that my Hanna also matches my salt mix alk expectations close enough and I haven't started dosing yet so that also gives me confidence in the test.
