Hi all! So I'm not necessarily having any issues with my tank, in fact it's doing quite well from what I can tell. But I'm wondering how alkalinity relates to phosphate levels because I'm running lower on alk scale and higher on phosphate with no issues.
Alk is typically 7.6—8.0 using two part auto dosing. Phosphates are typically. 07 to .1.
From what I've read on "ideal" parameters these numbers are on the low end of alk and higher end of acceptable phosphate ranges but everything in my tank seems to be happy and healthy.. (Mostly sps, a few lps.) .
Are these two numbers relative to each other? If everything is working fine as is should I leave well enough alone?
For reference, it's 32g tank. I have no algae issues. I'm just wondering if adjustments on either parameter will have any benefit to coral health. Without disruption to the whole ecosystem.
