I’ve got a 65g display, 20 gallon sump, with. 7 gallon ATO reservoir and just can’t keep alk up, I mix 14 teaspoons of Kalk in my ATO and still have to dose reef builder weekly to keep alk around 8. Current corals are 2 small chalices, medium size birdsnest, 4” monti cap, small red plating cap, an acan with about 15 heads, 2 blastos, around a 12 head Duncan, and a 5 head smaller Duncan. 4 head torch, 4 head hammer, and a small acro frag, and a leptastrea. Now that I write it down that’s a lot, could it just be using that much alk that the Kalk doesn’t keep up? The calcium stays fairly consistent.
Today’s parameters
Alk 7.2 (before dosing)
Ph 8.15(always)
Calcium 400
Magnesium 1300
Phosphate.02
Nitrate 5
(Also a war coral I forgot)...
(And a small pavona)
(I may have a coral buying problem.....)
