Alkalinity

Hey reefers question first time test for alkalinity and calcium my question is my calcium is 518 witches high I think and my alkalinity if I’m right is 0.5376. I used my Hanna check and it was 9.6 and I multiplied it by 0.056

i am assuming u mean 53 for the hanna checker? The old style hanna checker you had to do some math the new one if it says 9.6 then it is 9.6.

What is your mag? It's hard to get an accurate alk if your cal and mag are out of sync.

Looks like the new one.

Depends on what you have in the aquarium at this time. If it is a new setup with nothing in it I would't be to concerned about readings at this point.
