Alkalinity

My tank is at 7.5. The water I do my water changes with is 10.5. Why the drastic swing from week to week? New tank only 5 months old almost 6 now. No SPS just LPS. I am guessing that this is also why my inverts keep dying? Any help is appreciated.

Tank Calcium is 490-480, I don't have a magnesium test kit.

What’s the size of your tank and how large are your water changes? How often are your changes too?

45 gallon Red Sea Max E170. 35 actual gallons excluding rock. I do a 15 gallon water change once a week on thursday's. So approximately 50%.
