Why is my alkalinity going up. Weekly water changes. Red sea blue bucket. Was down to 9 and is going up last couple weeks. I always mix the bag of salt up before using it.

Should be 1300ppm to 1400ppm or it wanders.

That’s perfect.
Have you tested the batch itself, what’s Alk before it gets to the DT.
Also, are your nutrients fluctuating?

Spread your water changes to bi-weekly and when you mix your next match of sea water- test it before you add it to tank to determine if it is already elevated.
If you have high evapration in your tank, that alone can cause alk to rise. Also, if Phos is hih, alk will rise.
