A water change should lower it, but, more importantly, you should determine how it got so high to avoid problems in the future.

I will water change tomorrow. I have no idea how it got so high. My magnesium is low (1160) and I have had to buffer a lot lately to raise my PH.

That's not terribly high. As stated above, a water change or just let it naturally fall to where it needs to be.

PH buffer is what is used to raise alkalinity. So that is how it got so high however 11.8 is fine. I wouldn't worry about your PH and continue to use your buffer but less of it. Consider keeping it at 10 if you can. Let it fall to 10 then find out how much buffer you need to add each day to keep it at 10.

as stated ealier i would do a water change if you have alot of corals i would stop dosing and let alk be consumed. also i would check the parameters of the new water that you are mixing

Some sources state 15 DKH is ok. I wouldn't worry just let it go it will go down on its own
