Just tested alkalinity and it’s at 14.3 should I do a water change to bring it down?

Do you trust that test? *verify with another test (LFS or different kit) first.
Did you have some kind of dosing mishap to get that high?

how did the alkalinity get up that high ?

Used Hanna tester I was to dose my tank with fusion 2 every other day by my local fish store I just purchased the Hanna tester and did my own test

- How much and how often of that Fusion 2 have you dosed?

Before you do a water change….. What do you have for livestock? Sometimes making a change in the right direct too fast can make things worse.

Go ahead and do one then. Just check the alk of your fresh salt water, do a little math to make sure you don’t move the alk down too much.

Keep an eye on the torch. Depending on how big a swing you had, it could have been affected but likely won't show a decline for several weeks.

Depending on the Alk level of the salt mix you’re using .
you don’t want the alkalinity to swing more than 1dkh per 24hour period

moving forward . Don’t trust everything a salesman tells you or tries to sell you .
do your own research .
if something is to be added know exactly what it claims and what it will do
Rule #1 never dose anything you can’t test the need for .
